Cricut Cardz Challenge #26 Card

Hi everyone,

Those of you who've been visiting my blog know that I have challenged myself to use every cartridge I own at least once over the next few months. If you remember, starting in alphabetical order, the first one on my shelf is Accent Essentials, and I showed you some cards I made with it. Well, today I discovered this video on Youtube. These cards are just beautiful. I wanted to share them with you so you could see how someone else used the cartridge. Enjoy the video and have a great weekend.

Hope you're enjoying the journey : )

Hi everyone,
Hope you're having a good week. I don't know why I can't seem to speak properly once the camera goes on. Hehe. Oh well, hope you enjoy the video anyway, dispite my weird way of wording things. I enjoyed making it for you.

Finial Thinking Card Tutorial

Hi Everyone,
Once again the days have gone by way to fast. I've been doing a lot of editing the past few days. Phew! So time consuming. Who knew it would be so hard to keep a video at 10 minutes or less? Let's just say lots of footage on the editing floor. Lol! Well, I finally have another tutorial for you. I hope you like it and that it will inspire you to make your own creations.
Hope you're enjoying this journey with me : )

Vintage card pt. 1

I'm not sure why my last two videos posted differently than the first one. Don't know what I did wrong. Anyway, I'm so excited to be sharing my first video tutorial with you. Dispite the fact that I trimmed it several times, it was still too long, so I had to make it a two parter. See part 2 below. Hope you like it.

I'd like to give a shout out to Tami White, for her tutorial on the 3D scallop circle punch flower and the layout of this card.

I'd also like to thank Momo, of Made by Momo, for becoming a followerer. I love watching her videos.

Poppie Inspired Card

This card was inspired by the California Poppies that are all over my property this time of year. There are also little yellow flowers and purple ones. Now that I think about it, I should have added some purple flowers to this card. Hmmm. Maybe I'll have to make another one.

I've been wanting to make a card using some of the color combinations I see in nature. Afterall, who's a better artist than God? No one of coarse.  Anyway, this is the first one I've tried. I also wanted to try a couple techniques I've learned. Hope you like it.

The background paper was made by daubing Stampin Pastels all over the Whisper White cardstock (cut at 4" x 5-1/2"), and then using the channel on the cutter to erase diagonal lines. The result is a diamond shaped pattern. The three pastels used for this were; Summer Sun (or was it Yoyo yellow?), Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie.
The image was stamped in Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, So Safron (would have preferred one of the other yellows, but I don't  have them at this time) Classic inks, and Pumkin Pie Stampin Write marker.
Using the Stampin Write Pumpkin Pie marker the large flower's outline was stamped once, directly onto the 3-1/4" x 4" Whisper White cardstock. Image was stamped again onto a scrap of Ww cardstock, using the two step method with the same marker. I cut it out and added some Iridescent Ice (mistaking it for glitter), using the Tombo adhesive. Realizing my goof I added a little heat to it to see what would happen. Lol! I told my upline that only she and I would know that I made the mistake and here I am telling you all about it. Lastly, I placed it onto the outline image with a couple of Stampin dimensionals, and added the sentiment with Chocalate Chip Classic ink and stamp from the Always stamp set. Oh yeah, I also chalked the 3-1/4" x 4" cardstock with Pumkin Pie Stampin Pastel (probably should have done both layers).

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to visit. Hope you are enjoying this journey with me.

SU Haul

Wow! That two weeks went by fast. Sorry, I have been missing in action. I thought I was going to have a post for you yesterday, but I had to put that on the back burner to get ready for my son's Honors Convocation ceremony. If all goes well I will have a video for you today. I think I've already mentioned, on several occassions, I am new to all this. So I have no idea what's going to happen when I try to down load a video. I know I will figure it out. The question is, how long will it take me to figure it out. BTW. All you wonderfully savvy bloggers out there, I would appreciate any advice you can give me about video blogging.

I have made a few videos, but most of them I have decided not to post for one reason or the other. I finally have a tutorial that I want to share, but I think I'm going to have trim it some more or turn it into a two parter.

In the meantime here's a just for fun video I took of my last Stampn' Up! haul. It was my first time using the Flip camera I got for mother's day. I didn't do a great job, but I hope you will enjoy it anyway.
