Teapot Sympathy Card

Here's a card I made for the widow of a family friend of my husband.

The teapot is a digital stamp from paperprintables. You have to be a member to get free downloads, but memebership is free.
Butterfly is from DCWV Tradewinds paper stack (To all my fellow demos, I know, I know it's not SU. Hey, I'm a crafter first. As much as I love SU products, I'm not going to pretend like I don't have many tools in my arsnal of craft supplies, so relax) and Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings embosslit. .
Sentiment is Edwardian Script, punched out using Stampin' Up! Decorative Label punch. .
Card stock is Whisper White and Brushed Gold, from Stampin' Up! and one of our blue shades that has been retired.
Flower was made using that beautiful blue cardstock I mentioned, Whisper White cs, our small hearts punch and 1-3/4" scallop circle punch.
Everything was inked with Marina Mist Classic ink. Such a pretty blue.
Lastly- couldn't leave out the bling- Recollections adhesive faux pearls.

I usually leave the inside of my cards undecorated; leaving plenty of room to write, but I think it gives a more finished look. I've seen other cardmakers do it and it always looks so nice.

Well, that's it for now. I hope you have (or are having, depending on where you live and when you read this) a wonderful day : D

29th Anniversary Card, A Sneak Peek, and New Techniques Coming Up

The past few weeks were filled with an open house, a recouperating husband, and grandkids. Needless to say I haven't got a lot of crafting or videos done. There's always something, right? I won't be getting much done over the next few days either. My hubby and I are going on a little get away, for our 29th wedding anniversary. Though I will miss my craftroom, I am so looking forward to it. Sometimes one needs a change of pace.

Anyway, all that said, it's not that I haven't gotten any crafting done (making/not making videos is another story). I  just haven't done as much as I would like. I have been working on some new techniques that I'm excited about and can't wait to share with you. But while you wait for me to get my act together here are a couple of cards I've made. Hope you enjoy them.

This one is for my husband. Love the new Stampin' Up! Specialty Designer Series paper (DSP).

The recipe for this card will be posted on my Stampin' Up! blog

In the next week or two I plan to have some tile art, a cool folding technique, and a Christmas card video up for you. That's just a few ideas hatching around in my head.

I really hope you are still enjoying this journey with me, even though I seem to go MIA a lot. I don't mean to. This is an awesome community, I am honored to be a part of it. Leave me a comment, even if it's just to say, "hi". I would love to hear from you.

Uncharted Territory Pop Up Card

Hi friends,

I pray you are all having a good week. For me the week is going by too fast, like every week. Funny how when you're a kid life seems to drag on. Remember waiting for Christmas? Now Christmas comes way before I'm ready for it. Seems since I've started blogging and Youtubing it's been going by even faster. When I put up my last post I didn't realize it had been a month from the post before it, until I looked at the dates.

I have to tell you I feel so much better when I have the opportunity to share with you. I hope you are still enjoying the journey with me : )

Anyway, today's card is a pop-up. Simple pop-up cards are so easy to make. I hope to have more up for you soon.

My Digital Studio Hybrid Card #1

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly a few weeks can go by. I had my 2nd Annual Open House, and two of our grandsons were visiting for a couple a weeks. Before they went home my husband went to the hospital to have surgery on his neck. So, after five days going back and forth to the hospital to keep him company, and caring for him at home, I finally had a chance to craft and make a video. Mind you, I didn't get to bed until 4 something this morning, because I wanted to post it on Youtube. I'm so glad to be posting something for you today. Give me a shout out and let me know you're still there and let me know how you schedule crafting, blogging and/or Youtubing into your busy life. I would love to hear from you.

Oh yeah, btw. this is not actually my first hybrid card. I didn't make a video of the first one. It was a birthday card for my daughter. I may post a picture of it.

Hope you're still enjoying the journey with me : )
